I was able to escape the snow to meet my girls in Costa Rica and we have not stopped talking about constipation. In fact, one of my friends has completely turned her premenopausal health around by incorporating colonics and more whole plant-based foods into her diet a few years ago shortly after we met. Her transformation is truly remarkable and she’s literally learned a shit ton from her colon hydrotherapist in Virginia.
Her colon hydrotherapist introduced her to the different uses of the Tens machine for improving digestion. I purchased one off Amazon after a client told me she uses it on her ear to stimulate the vagus nerve and reduce anxiety (ear attachment sold separately), but I totally forgot I even had it until I purged my apartment a few months ago. Even then, I still haven’t used it, but now I am excited play around with it when I return to NJ because of the continued success stories I’m hearing about it. My friend Lindsey says her colon hydrotherapist recommends (based on much scientific research) placing the pad on both the abdomen and the ankles for digestion for about 45 minutes on each body part.
Bonus: my roommate here uses the Tens machine for an equally important reason. Apparently, it is the closest experience to a menstrual cramp simulation for the men in your life. Just place it on their abdomen and crank it up!
