Eat Your Baby Food!

Babies are the real Olympians of pooping. They eat, breathe and poop with abandon all day long like the little champs that they are. So it only behooves us to act like little babies when it comes to our food when we are feeling backed up.

This time of year, everyone is a little more stagnant both inside and out due to frigid temperatures. Thankfully, it’s also soup season because even if you don’t have any kids, we all know what baby food looks like: pureed veggies.

A good way to kickstart regularity is by incorporating a lot of pureed vegetable soups into your diet for a few days. I recommend finding vegan recipes that do not include any dairy since excessive dairy can be constipating. My favorite hearty and grounding soups usually involve carrots, sweet potatoes, apples, squash, veggie stock and/or coconut milk. You will find a billion recipes online so I encourage you to browse around and dust off your slow cooker.

Another soup option I always recommend is giving digestion a break and your metabolism a boost with Prolon’s five day fasting mimicking diet. Just make sure to order the kit that comes with ready-to-eat soups (not the powder variety).
