COLONIC BENEFITS

Gravity-fed colonics were traditionally administered in hospitals by nurses until pharmaceutical companies began pushing pills and denying all colonic benefits. Prior to this shift, disease and any bodily disorder (including, but not limited to: headaches, migraines, acne, psoriasis, eczema, multiple sclerosis, cancer, etc) had been intelligently traced down to inefficient evacuation of our septic tank, the colon. Delayed emptying of our bowels results in dysbiosis, where its contents begin to ferment and putrefy, resulting in gas and an overwhelming ratio of malevolent vs beneficial bacteria (the frontline of our immune system). The dominating harmful bacteria ultimately penetrate through the intestinal wall and infiltrate the blood stream, resulting in an inflammatory response and in extreme cases, an autoimmune response.

The colon, also known as your large intestine, is roughly five feet long! Cleansing the bowels promotes a healthy environment for your beneficial flora to communicate properly with your immune system and prevent noxious substances from penetrating the blood stream. This allows the blood stream to deliver proper nourishment to your cells as the body is better able to discern good from bad. Clearing fecal obstruction via colonics also allows your lymphatic system to efficiently eliminate cellular toxins from the body via the colon. This, in turn, results in a healthier metabolism (cellular turnover), which not only means healthy weight management, but also clear skin, increased energy, and a more youthful appearance!

Most important of the countless colonic benefits is that receiving colonics makes you happy. Defecating releases endorphins and according to Dr. Alejandro Junger, “Serotonin, the neurotransmitter responsible for the feeling of happiness and well-being, is primarily manufactured in the gut – 90 percent of it, in fact.” When serotonin production is hampered due to fecal impaction, feelings of depression become more common. After a colonic, a general feeling of lightness ensues, as if weight were literally and figuratively lifted from the body! Colonic benefits are both immeasurable and invaluable.
